Below please find a sample of the fitness classes that will be provided on board – all suitable for different levels of ability:

Water Aerobics: working out in the water is a great way for people of all ages and levels of fitness to improve strength and tone. The water supports your body during this exercise, putting less stress on joints.

Pilates: Pilates is one of the world’s most popular exercise classes. It gives strength without bulk, stretches your muscles, improves your posture, and can help ease lower back pain. It restores the balance of your whole body, leaving you feeling healthier and more relaxed.

Stretch and Tone: stretching is slow, relaxing and any age group can participate. It prevents muscle injury, improves blood circulation and allows a better range of movement of the body.

Gym sessions: come join us in the gym for a personalized session, where we work according to your fitness levels and goals. A great variety of excellent gym equipment and a fun and interesting program await you.

Join Silversea Expeditions, along with health and fitness expert Natasha Eksteen, yoga instructor Jenni Kauppila and nutrition consultant Dalila Roglieri for an onboard experience like no other, and one that will stay with you long after you’ve returned home.

Natasha Eksteen, Fitness Lifestyle Consultant
Natasha has always had an extreme passion for the outdoors and growing up with beautiful Table Mountain in sight didn’t keep her from broadening her horizons. Qualified as a personal trainer, lifestyle consultant and specialised fitness nutritionist, Natasha began her career at The High Rustenburg Health Hydro, in charge of all outdoor activities and now specialises in weight loss, post-operative exercises, fitness and nutrition.

After six years working at the health spa, she trained to be a triathlete. During her preparations she gained a vast knowledge of wildlife species, eventually leading to her managing a Private Game Reserve. During her time at the game reserve, she worked with multiple species of antelope, lion, rhino and much more of Africa’s famed wildlife.

Jenni Kauppila, Yoga Instructor
A native of Finland, Jenni found a growing interest for the human body, mind and spirit at an early age. Her parents, body therapists and yoga teachers, inspired her to be a true seeker in life. It was during Jenni’s global travels that she discovered the most spectacular wonders can be found not outside but within oneself. A passionate yoga student for more than 14 years, Jenni is now a certified yoga instructor with experience in dynamic Ashtanga, restorative YinYoga and meditation.

Jenni’s teachings emphasize body awareness and anatomically safe alignments, and she aims to help people turn inward to connect with themselves. Jenni is not only well-respected for her technical knowledge, intimate presence and caring heart, but she is also a well-being coach and professional practitioner of cognitive psychotherapy, breathing therapy and mindfulness. Jenni’s new guidebook, titled 30 Steps to Inner Power, was published in Finland in May 2014. When not on board, she runs a successful yoga studio with her parents in Helsinki.

Dalila Roglieri, Nutrition Consultant & Food Specialist
A professional tennis player for 10 years, Dalila Roglieri embraces a passion for nutrition while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Hailing from Milano, she has an extensive educational background, including both science of human nutrition and nutrition biology degrees from the University “Carlo Bo” Urbino, and a Master in Enology and Marketing of Wine degree from University “Sacro Cuove” Piacenza. Dalila has shared her enthusiasm for health affairs throughout her professional career as a registered nutritionist and nutrition scientist. She gained experience collaborating on international and regional projects as a consultant for Kellogg’s Special K brand, and she specialised in digital marketing campaigns for Danone yogurts. Dalila speaks both Italian and English; she also enjoys the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities.
